This comforting, electrolyte-rich tonic can be served warm or cold. I sometimes keep a crockpot on for a few days at a time to have an enjoyable sipping tea on-hand. I also like to drink it for a tasty post-workout re-hydrator! It’s full of electrolytes to keep you hydrated, and full of yummy seasonal flavor and aromas!
2-3 Organic Apples and/or Pears, thinly sliced
2-3 Cinnamon Stix
1 tsp. sea salt
1 gallon filtered water
Place apples, cinnamon stix, and sea salt in a pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Cover with a lid. Reduce heat to low and let steep on low for 10-15 mins. Keep covered and let cool to room temperature. If you prefer to make it in a crockpot, cook on low for 2 hours, then reduce to warm and keep it at warm for up to 72 hours.
